She is a strategic advisor for her iwi (tribe), Uenuku and a practising lawyer with a 16-year judicial appointment in the New Zealand Disputes Tribunal.

has a background in molecular biology, branched out into IT and was based in Japan for 17 years. Whilst there, Tim and his business partner were the first foreigners to IPO two companies on the Japan Stock Exchange. He returned to NZ in 2010 with the aim of investing in Kiwi technologies aimed at global good.

has over 30 years in corporate and governance leadership with companies including Siemens, Auckland Transport, Downer EDI and Alstom. He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors and one of the original stakeholders in Nilo’s establishment in 2018.

works for the Innovation Ventures team in IKEA of Sweden. Andrew has previously worked in development roles in the logistics and renewables industries where he was responsible for integrating new technological innovations across the value chain from the evaluation of the initial concept to the eventual integration and roll out. Andrew represents Inter IKEA Development BV on the board of NILO which is the investment arm of the Inter IKEA Group.

represents a private investment group. He has a twenty year background in capital markets, with his final corporate role being for Royal Bank of Canada in Europe. Paul is a managing partner of Sulla Investments, specialising in investments that aim to harness technology for global impact.

Sean Simpson

BOARD MEMBER

Sean

is a co-founder of LanzaTech. Under Sean’s leadership, the company developed and scaled a gas fermentation process technology and recently listed on the NASDAQ. Sean has over 20 publications and 200 patents. He has received numerous awards including the 2015 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Presidential Green Chemistry Award, the 2014 Sanitarium, and NZ Innovator of the Year Award.

has been a catalyst for financial innovation in Japan and beyond, and has been an angel investor for over 20 years, and built and scaled listed companies including LIfenet. He also founded the first UWC school in Japan, and serves as vice-chairman of Human Rights Watch Japan.
