Industrial Binders

Urea formaldehyde binders are used in thousands of applications including the manufacture of wood-based products like particle board, plywood, chipboard, mdf and laminated products

The global market is estimated at US$37bn by 2027

Urea formaldehyde is highly toxic, and its use is being legislated against in the US, and banned completely in the EU from 2030

Nilo industrial binders are made with a 98% waste plastic mix, and their benefits include:

  • Close to zero toxic emissions
  • 89% few carbon emissions and
  • 50% less energy used in production

Nilo is currently working with a multinational company on a product to replace their use of urea formaldehyde in their global production processes
